Custom Blending is a new 32,700 sq. ft. light industrial facility designed for a local spice blending company, master planned for expansion to 50,000 sq. ft. Spaces include production and warehouse space for both liquid and dry spice production lines, shipping and receiving, quality control/new product development laboratories, a test kitchen, administrative office and conference room space, an employee training room and locker rooms.

The building is located in the Harmony Technology Park, and the exterior architecture was designed to express a high technology image. The 2-story administrative area is characterized by a planar brick masonry wall and banded glass on the upper level, with contrasting vertical fins articulating the stair towers. Production and warehouse spaces are constructed of load-bearing, insulated precast wall panels and a steel framed roof, designed so that the loading docks are screened from the street by the 1-1/2 story masses of the production areas.

Professional services included programming, site plan approvals through the City of Fort Collins, and full architectural and engineering services.
